In the installation Field of Mines, the mines are meant to draw attention to the explosive nature of biotechnology and gene tampering. Safely navigating that minefield is one of the vital questions facing this and future generations. The blown glass balls represent the fragility of the Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) and, swinging freely on their tethers, tell a tale about the uncertain outcome of man tampering with the natural order. |
